| Archway Cookies and Salerno cookies.. they sort of still exist but Archway used to come in a big tray with 9 each, they were huge, molasses were the best and they were much better than the knockoffs being made today. Salerno created Jingles.. they used to be almost brown in color, were crispy and tasted like anise. Today's knockoffs are shit. Salerno also made almond flavor cookies, came in a big box, each crescent was COVERED with white confectioner powder.. amazing Happy Meals used to come with really awesome toys. Me and my siblings each had a Dukes of Hazzard car- it was like 10 inches long- we had two Chargers and one police car and loved them. Also with Happy Meals- those Animal Crackers cookies- I think these are also still made but tasted much better in the 80s Necco Wafers- they went out of production a few years ago. A kind of mealy, flavorful sweet similar to those soft pink hearts they have on Valentines day. They had all kinds of colors and flavors and were wrapped in wax paper. I miss the 7PM siren... if you're Gen X or older you know what this is. Probably only in America too |

I would do awful, awful things for the old stringy Webkinz. They still make them, but they lack any of that simple charm and whimsy that I fell in love with as a child. I don't think I'll ever get over it. What a fumble. |
