| Oh man, feel the exact same way! Every week I'm counting down the days until the next episode drops. Easily one of my top shows this season. The episodes just fly by feels like 5 minutes because lI'm completely hooked, and then boom.. another cliffhanger to suffer through The cast is great too, and Alicia is such an awesome hero. Honestly, don't even want to think about the show ending soon. Fingers crossed we get a second season or some kind of follow-up right away, because need more Clevatess in my life!  |
| Yep I really like this one. The atmosphere is great, it feels like it's not busy.. if you can grasp what I mean. Things happen, but it's calm. I also like the art style. |
| I am also looking forward to this one each week more than any of the other eleven series intended up following this season... 😅 I wish it was a 24 ep run honestly. Also the ED song is unbelievably 🔥. I didn't know anything about this going into it but I think it's the hidden gem of the season. |

| Out of 12 new series watched or watching this summer season (not including the continuing and returning pre-summer 2025 shows), it's my second favorite. Second favorite after Ruri no Houseki and before Leviathan. Seems like a mostly solid 7/10-tier series (which, I haven't rated it yet because I don't rate anything until completion of it, but that's what I end up usually rating the better seasonals of each season). My only real complaint with it is that all of the villains are very over the top, one-note, and cheesy/shallow. Mostly everything to do with the bandits and their leader as well as the insect-controlling wizard. Drel is alright. He isn't terribly interesting or complex but strikes me as a character that's supposed to be the menacing man of limited words type figure, which can work, and may either be more fleshed out later and/or the more interesting aspects of anything relating to him may come from the motives and forces at work in the conspiracy and organized plan behind him. I don't get the kind of folks ready to talk it up as the next Berserk or one of the best of its genre after like three episodes though. That kind of treatment to me is radically premature. So far all indications have been one of a fairly standard dark-ish action fantasy. But people are so starved for all non-isekai fantasy, dark fantasy, and even high fantasy (secondary/alternative universe fantasy) that is more than just high fantasy-in-name-only with isekai-aesthetics and characteristics. Which fortunately, this at least meets and satisfies the minimum criteria of. |
