Talk about a lot of very poignant lines, and so many of them painfully relevant in this day and age... And still a lot more beautiful artistic shots, interior and exterior both, not to mention the closeups on all the detailed clutter - can feel the crumples on the candy wrapper, for instance. And the shadows and footprints around the fire, geez. Soundtrack's still awesome too.

Just give me 100 more Talulah episodes please and thanks. Best girl, best arc.

Heartbreaking end to the episode, but Alina going to the village with no bodyguard was a bit naive and stupid ngl given she’s part of a rebel group essentially. The harsh conditions of the snowfields would make a lot of people turn on even their friends. Knew she had death flags since the start of the episode where those people who wanted to split off sold them out to Ursus, just felt like the big theme of this ep was betrayal, but man it still hurts to see her go like that. “If I’m not here who’ll watch over you” 😢 fawk

It’s definitely going to be interesting seeing what becomes of Talulah after this. Will she give into the curse or will she live the way Alina wanted her to? I like how the first half of the episode shows how conflicted and scared Talulah is on the inside. Alina was her rock that she could lean on for emotional support while everyone looked up to her as a great warrior and hero. It’s just like great leaders in real life who seem like they have everything figured out and then the documentary comes out and you learn just how many people it took to support them when they were struggling.

“We’re all just fighters on different battlefields” is an all timer quote for me. So simple yet poignant.

I enjoyed seeing how much Talulah cared for her men and refused to put them in unnecessary danger, she’s the sort of leader everyone would die for.

Well, more doomed everything. Too many death flags. What a sad episode this was, but we know she didn't get like that because of a Happy Childhood or anything. Another great one!

And thus the Yuri has been successfully Doomed, as was foretold by all the death flags Alina has raised over the past few episodes. Surely Talulah will take the death of her totally-not-girlfriend very well and approach the tragic event with a rational mind. Normal, rationally-thinking people leave fiery footprints that burn even snow in their wake, right?

I am extremely excited for the next episode. Time to see how the adaptation will handle the absolute cinema of a stage that is JT8-1. It'll be difficult to get it done accurately, given the obvious difference in medium between a video game and an animated series, but I have faith.
"Such honors may please a weakling, but I am strong."
"There are two kinds of people in the world: those who are (me), and those who are not."
"The Sorcerer King is Justice and weakness is a sin. All hail Ainz Ooal Gown!"
"Arrivederci."

As motivation goes Talulah reasons are very tropeish. Dead beloved.

With so many treasons over this episode, I guess I will need one more episode to show the decision of letting the more crazy and unstable types to join Reunion.

they did the game's story justice this episode. when they're able to add those little details to the animation, it comes out brilliantly. ;-;

i've never played the game but every episode of this season has left me flabbergasted at the production committee only giving it 10 episodes; this season should have been a 2-cour. the writing is excellent but the dialogue often feels like watching a video at 1.25x or even 1.5x speed, everyone is speaking too fast and there's no natural pause between speakers' lines in a lot of cases. a couple of the earlier episodes (the W ones) even reminded me of gundam f91 with the jarring schizophrenic cuts. the director and animation studio are doing a great job with the tiny runtime they have for this amount of content, none of it has been hard to follow and it doesn't feel like anything has been skipped over (as someone not familiar with the source material, at least), but i really wish they'd been given a proper episode count to work with

S3 is adapting Episode 7 & 8 of the game, which have a total word count of 122k. Plus they added stuff from side stories too. So no wonder everyone is talking so fast!

With only 3 episodes left it looks like a total flashback ending. I do appreciate the backstory but I would have liked it at the beginning. I like linear storytelling but I understand there are some times where flashbacks help. IMO, Talulah is a villain not the protagonist. It would have been better to see this arc first and then see her change into the antagonist. If there’s another season I’m not sure I’m hanging around.

Wow, the writing has gotten significantly better this season compared to previous seasons, it's actually kinda peak right now. I really hope it stays though, Yostar seems to have trouble pacing the show, and Sentai too.
I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life.

That’s not the reason why she ended up the way she did. The last episode of the season will explain everything about why she ended up the way she did (if they adapt it correctly like in the game).

Linear story telling is very rare in Arknights.
The reason why we are seeing Talulah's backstory just now and not sooner is because of Amiya's powers are maturing, she's no longer suppressing them.
If you rewatch you'll notice the flashback started when Amiya got close to the tower Talulah's in.
Another thing is the reveal how Talulah became an antagonist is best left for the end of the story.

Alina was literally the one person Talulah had to always have someone escorting her and yet she didn't.

"Just sleep a few times, and we're there. Tomorrow is always so close." That's a beautiful quote.
