| Dunno why Araragi is supposed to redeem himself, because he never crossed the line and everything is played off as comic relief. His only questionable moments are with Hajikuji, who is actually older than him and even acts mature. Overall, Araragi is not a pedo, he just finds cute things cute. |

I saw a scene with him like running up to a lil girl or sumn ion kn. Maybe I've been given wrong info.

| first of all, since you are new Imma say it, there are tons of fan service and comedic relief. and the author loves making fun of degenerate stuff as he said in afterwards in the novel. he actually didn't think his novel would get an anime adaptation and wrote solely for satisfying himself. if you are feeling uncomfortable by it stop it and don't go further. and just drop the series. Araragi and Rudeus are completely different. Araragi does it for comedy and Rudeus is just straight up degenerate. as a matter of fact, the comedic relief bites him in the later part of the series where he is the one getting his table turned making it even funnier. so yeah that's all I wanted to say. and Araragi is the goat. hope you have a good time pal. |
| They aren’t really comparable in terms of degeneracy, though I haven’t watched past Bake yet so take my words with a grain of salt. There’s some off-color gags about Araragi’s perversion, yeah, but he’s not even remotely on the same level as Rudeus |

| Don’t even compare Araragi and Rudeus, bro ๐ Araragi’s 'sus behavior' is written with irony, satire, and self-awareness. He’s a gag-type perv, and the show constantly calls him out. His actions exist in a meta space — they’re uncomfortable on purpose but always framed within a thoughtful, layered narrative. Meanwhile, Rudeus is just a straight-up degenerate — a horny old man reborn in a kid’s body who genuinely gets off on everything. There’s a difference between a character who's uncomfortably written and one who’s written to make you uncomfortable — and that’s where Araragi clears. He’s a wonderfully written, emotionally complex, and deeply human character — easily one of the greatest in all of fiction. And Monogatari as a whole? It’s one of the best stories ever told in the format of anime. You’ll surely like it.  |

| The only similarity is both are GOATs. Araragi doesn't get redemption like Rudues. Because unlike him he wasn't a broken bad person so he doesn't need self improvement. Well he had that but in completely different way. If it's about degeneracy it only got worse lmao. But most of it for laughs. If you watch Hachikuji getting SAed and finds it problematic, sorry this isn't for you.. |

My guy has NOT watched Mushoku Peaksei ๐โ๏ธ Anyway, like others said, Araragi's shenanigans are utilized for comedic purposes, whereas Rudeus is just a genuine creep. The stories of these two shows are so different in the first place, it'd be weird if the main characters were the same.  |
