Half way through now, and I gotta say this was probably one of the best episodes so far. Many people from Winter 2025 seemed to not like that Ein let Zoid live, and that makes sense, bro literally just killed several people and tried to kill Ein’s hot spirit girlfriends, and even Ein himself, but nah let’s let the murderer live lol. But it wasn’t a big deal for me really, I was more shocked he actually lived in the first place, the moment he bit Jolene’s head off I was like “welp, there goes redeeming him” but nah Ein is too nice of a guy lol. Only thing is tho I can’t see Zoid spending time anywhere else but prison, but they may chalk it up to it being because of the eye and let him off, but damn RIP Jolene I guess lol, she was an asshole too but she doesn’t get a chance at redemption now like Zoid has.

Besides that stuff, I did find myself liking Ein’s inner battle with himself, I wish that had been explored more and went on for more than one episode, but I guess when you have babes like Yuri and Pina at your side, it’s hard to stay depressed lol.

And I’ll end this half way point post with my brief thoughts on the show so far… it’s alright lol. I’m enjoying it, but after episode 1 it started to become purely wish fulfillment fantasy where Ein just walks through anything and everything and starts collecting girls like Pokémon. But you know what? I think that’s fine lol, there is something fun about these kind of shows, it’s not gonna get a high score from me but it is just dumb fun, and the production is pretty good which is a plus.

What a cringe episode, what the hell.
And that generic evil lady, meh. This should stick to collecting poke-sisters in his poke-(eye)ball adventures.

and that 'jesus christ forgiving the sinner' like scene at the end, hahaha

So Echidna’s ultimate plan is to revive Demon Lord Mikotran, and Zoid was just a stepping stone to doing that. She was simply taking advantage of Zoid’s weak heart to get battle data from Ein.

That nightmare of Ein was foreshadowing the inner conflict that Ein would have in this fight in which he doubted whether he himself has changed. But at the end of the day, he pushes forward despite having the weak Appraiser class, and everybody else believes in what he can do because he uses his power to help others rather than taking revenge for all the times he’s been bullied and wrong throughout his life. I will say that regardless of this touching moment, Ein wouldn’t be able to do what he does if it wasn’t for Yuri, so Ein’s newfound strength isn’t truly his own effort alone. I will say that he did have to train to increase his magical capacity and his physique, so he did put in proper effort.

And despite what Zoid has done, Ein insisted on defeating him without killing him.

How else with Echidna become a problem? We’ll have to wait and see.

Hard to really pity Ein when he not only forgive Zoid but also saved his life despite Zoid clearly not showing any remorse at all. It's one thing if he didn't want blood on his hands or had to stroke his stupid ego, but by saving him while knowing he is a murderer and letting him loose again, he is responsible for his own suffering as well as others' suffering due to Zoid's actions in this episode.

The only good thing to come out of this was Jolene getting what she deserved. They even pretended like Zoid did that while under Echidna's control and totally not because he was a terrible guy even when he was blaming Ein right before he met Echidna and gave that joke of a "redemption" at the end.

I'm sorry but the MC is pathetic, just like the Zoid guy keeps saying. Hell, even MC admitted it to the loli that his "power" is just borrowed from them all, deep down he's still trash.

I can't take him seriously, especially the whole dialogue exchange between him and the Zoid guy, with the world tree girls talking him up. Everything those girls say screams, "You were there about to kill yourself, and you got lucky."

MC literally acquired the powers because he said "thank you" to the stupid world tree. This anime is the dumbest fucking way to make an MC. You start with a lame-ass ability like "appraiser" and then continue making it worse by making it clear that it's a lame-ass ability which will do nothing without you learning every other skill, stealing them all from your enemies.

I'm giving this anime 5 or less, even if I watch all of it at this point.

Zoid definitely felt like a dark counterpart to Ein during this fight, using all of his power for selfish whims and carnage! It didn't help that Ein himself had self doubt gnawing at him. I'm quite happy that Ursula and Yuri were able to help him cast off the negativity holding him down. Ein being able to use 100% percent of his spirit power was quite the sight!

Echidna's schemes still seem to be continuing in the background, but not even she expected how kind Ein was to spare Zoid after all he did. I hope he continues to dash her expectations when it comes to humans.
