whenever I look at new animes, or animes I plan on watching, I don't really care much for the animation studios all that much.
| New seasonal animes, or anime that I plan to watch, I care less about the animations studios. I care more about the manga magazine serializations that the anime is part of. For example K-ON, sure Kyoto Animation is an influencial anime studios, but I do not see K-ON as a true family Kyoto animation, but rather a true family of the manga magazine it is part of, Manga Time Kirara, same goes to other Kirara animes, Hidamari sketch, Gochiusa, Madoka, Kinmoza, Bocchi the Rock, Slow Start, Yuyushiki, Machikado Mazoku, etc. One Piece, I will look into other Shounen Jump titles, Yama no Susume, I look into other Comic Earth Star titles, for Yuru yuri i will look into other Comic Yuri Hime titles, Hinako Note, I look further into the Comic Cune anime and manga titles. I actually know an interesting manga series in my wishlist to become an anime. a Manga series called Watashi no Tame ni Nuginasai by Kurou (a famous Gochiusa fan artist that a lot of Pixiv users may recognise). The new yuri anime for next year spring, Ninja to Koroshiya no Futarigurashi sparked an interest in me, and its manga is serialized in the same magazine as Gabriel Drop Out and Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu, Dengeki Daioh "g", a sub magazine serialization to Dengeki Daioh as with what the title says, it serialized Azumanga Daioh. Toradora is serialized in the Dengeki Bunko magazines another sub magazine(but for light novels) for Dengeki Daioh, the manga series of Toradora IS serialized in Dengeki Daioh. most of the time I pay more attention to an anime's manga magazine serialization more than the animation studio. |
