If you got hooked after episode 1 because of the build up and want to see more of the revenge theme, then you might be disappointed, because show focuses way more on acting and playing aspects.

I’d definitely give it a go, but it’s quite religious to the source material so I don’t see how you would like it if you didn’t like the manga. The animation is good ig 🤣
But ye if your not hooked then there’s no point, I was hooked at the first chapter lol.

There is a couple episodes of build up but its not a long series so yes its worth it

I’d recommend it to people who aren’t even into anime. It’s so unique and intriguing and the animation is peakest of peak. Haven’t watched anything like it before and it’s been a huge inspiration for me. I can gush about it forever but it’s one of my top favorite shows of all time

Oshi no Ko is probably my new top favorite manga and anime of all time. So it’s very hard for me to NOT recommend it to you. Every cell of my body wants to tell you GO WATCH IT NOW.

But

i find the anime kind of boring but somehow completed it.

The season 1 is absolutely fire. It’s a great display of what Oshi no Ko has to offer. If you’re not interested in the psychology stuff, the character personalities and interactions or if Akane’s suicide scene didn’t move you, then nothing will. Season 2 is on the same level.

Yes the animation is fire, but if you think the season 1 is mid, then this show is lost on you. Good animation can’t save a show if you can’t appreciate this type of story. This isn’t for you, go watch something else.

If you didn't like Season 1, Season 2 is more of the same.

I think it's fantastic and a worthy follow up to one of the best seasons of anime that we got in a very long time, but again, I loved the first season to begin with.

If what you like from Oshi no Ko is just the 1st episode of Season 1 and nothing else then I doubt you would enjoy the Season 2

Personally it's very worth to watch for me.

For sure, I binged all of oshi no ko season 1 in a night and was hooked already. When I heard that season 2 was about theatre I was so hyped because I stage manage theatrical shows so I know I would relate to a lot of this. That is to say that you don't have to be a expert on any of it to fall in love with the script, animation, and deep themes. Also ignore the incest claims from the manga, it's over-exaggerated and misunderstood

It was kinda crazy when I watched it, it was that good then the crazy went away, but imho the plot was interesting and animation was really good so I watched till the end of season 1, I started season 2, but I was a little confused by first 2 episodes, because it just felt a little different from how season 1 got me hooked up, so I stopped watching for now so I can binge watch it when it's done. It should get really interesting midway.

So in conclusion, I think you should try to watch it till the end. It should be worth it based on what I've seen and heard.

@Innskip yes this is how I felt about it as well. The first half of season 2 is slow and there's a lot to take in while first half of season 1 was fast and exciting.
