I was just wondering do people pause and read all the comments that pop up during the streams like i do lol.

Yes i do, i have to pause this so many times. after reading all the comments so far, i say it doesn't change or has any real empact even if you don't read the comments. because important comments are already read by the voice actor so yah it's totally fine/same even if you don't read them.
i read them for personal satisfaction

I just never have the energy to lean forward towards the screen however sometimes i actually do read it

I am a slow reader, so to watch anime my finger is always hovering over the pause button on my phone or remote. So yes, no comment is left unread. Its like second nature for me at this point, if text comes up on the screen I pause and read it.

That's one of the key difference that this series has over the others, it feels very meta to read a live chat like this, the manhwa was one thing but it really felt alive in the anime.

This anime was better than I expected, it's by far my favorite anime this season, I just have a question, do you guys think we will get a 2nd season? Or should I read the manhwa? The ratings and views have been surprisingly low
