s3 covers up to year 1 volume 4.5, but if you're planning to pick it up, I'd recommend reading from the beginning. the anime cuts out a lot of stuff.

I'm not sure where it ends in the manga

The season 3 speedrunned from volume 8 to 11.5

The sequel is Year 2 Volume 1
But if you want to start the LN the volume is Year 1's volume 1 or 4 (if you don't like reading), since it skipped a lot

And if you want to start from season 3 ended you should at the least read summaries of volumes 1 to 11.5

@AltN so whenever we get another adaptation will be year 2 season 1? or season 4 overall? im asking cause tokyo ghoul did something similar and its considered 2 different series. tokyo ghoul and tokyo ghoul;re. what i wanna know is if the adaptation for year 2 will be a different/new series?

It could be called Year 2 Season 1 or It could be called Season 4 but it will still follow the story of Kiyokata's class or grade
