It's not about "deserving", it's about the size of the audience and One Piece has a fairly sizeable audience.

yeah one piece is good but for peacing is slow it has so many eps thats why so many people don't watch one piece and first eps of one piece's animation way old for now and many people probably don't i like for animation for this many reasons one piece kinda deserve reamke to make it more popular but one piece is fun in slow peacing.

I agree that shows like the ones you mentioned deserve a remake / reboot, however... the motivation behind this is money, and One Piece (especially with the recent LA remake) has proven itself to be good business. A lot of people seem to be under the impression that this means another show is missing out on a sorely needed remake... but let's be honest, if Netflix wasn't paying for this because they see it as a worthwhile investment, it's highly unlikely that any other show would have been remade instead. Maybe we'd get an adaptation of another manga, or another likely scenario is that we'd be getting one less anime, because there wasn't anyone to fond it.

Also, as others have mentioned, the poor pacing / the 1000+ episodes, poor animation quality, and the "oldness" (doesn't bother me, but I know a lot of people are iffy on that) makes it hard for a lot of people to get into, making the barrier to entry rather high. Just because other shows deserve a remake, it doesn't mean One Piece doesn't. It's still ongoing, it's a highly unusual situation, but I think One Piece needs a remake just as much as those other shows, (though for entirely different reasons).

Every anime is made because the production committee thinks it will make money. Does that necessarily make the entire project a cynical venture? Of course not.

I’m not sure you’re right that those shows deserve a remake more than this. The Toei anime is completely inaccessible to new fans, there’s plenty of reason to remake it now while the manga’s ongoing.

Toei’s One Piece ain’t gonna end anytime soon. Even though this may be a cash grab, I think it’s a great idea for people wanting to get into One Piece but are put off due to the episode count of 1000 episodes. The pacing would be WAY better than what we currently have now, people who want to rewatch the series can experience it again without it feeling too slow and in new modern animation. I think it’s a cool idea. Not necessary but I’m not mad at this.
