| He stinks. He was my favorite villain in S1. His transfiguration ability is one of the most disrespectful and fucked up powers in the show. Him taking a living human being and rearranging them into a weapon like a spear for example is truly disturbing. However, this season we're seeing more of him fighting others and now I can't stand how he is able to change his own body as if he were Clayface or Plastic Man. It turns him into a silly cartoon and trivializes the battles he's involved in because he's just bouncing around the place absorbing hits. It gets stupid after a while. The fights this season were already over the top with characters flying through concrete walls and floors or destroying buildings. Last thing the show needed were two - three episodes in a row of Mahito bouncing all over the place like he's an indestructible ball of rubber. |
| Does Mahito even has fans? I don't hate him as a character. As a villain he works out pretty well. It's been a while since we have seen a villain that is just pure, unadulterated evil, that wasn't cartoonishly bad as well. I like how author doesn't try to give him something like sappy backstory, that made him that way, so we would have to somehow feel sorry for him and would make his actions somewhat morally gray. I want him dead not (just) because of my disdain towards him, but because he just causes too much death and destruction, most importantly innocent people (his power causes something worse than death), so he REALLY needs to be put down FAST. |

| Anime only fan here. While I appreciate that Mahito is a ridiculously strong villain due to his unique niche of soul modification that most people either can’t counter at all or it puts them on the defensive thus greatly reducing their ability to fight, I am sadly getting tired of the one trick pony. It’s not a matter of hating him, at this point I am physically tired of seeing him vomit more souls, explode more bodies, more menacing laughter, more ridiculous faces, more people beating him to pulp repeatedly for practically zero outcome etc etc etc. Apart from the scene where he split into two, I am mostly bored with his character. I found Jogo more interesting in comparison tbh. At this point I don’t care who kills him or how, I just want to move on from him. |
