| Paradise... Interesting story, this one. A far out village with supposed treasures that was never found, with villagers and two new foreign travelers searching for the treasure. They see an altar with corpses, wondering why, and after starving on their own, attempting to steal fruit, the villagers feed them, but a child gives them a mysterious tasty fruit. The villagers have an odd paint on their faces from their hands, and when the child attempts to give more fruit to the man, one village woman tries to stop him, and covers his face with an odd texture that can't be removed. Days later, they're both dead. We learn that that fruit is poisonous, and kills in 5 days, with the hand cover being used as a determint of the poison wearing off from your face after 5 days. Eating anymore than one will kill you after that, which is what happened to all those other travelers who couldn't understand the language of the villagers who tried to warn them. Decent, yet interesting story. 6-7/10, but 6/10. Fairly simple. |
