| Incredible episode, incredible fight. Insane, dynamic fight and zero talk for the most part, indescribable show of strength. Simply, wow. I watched quite a lot of anime, shounens specifically and this definitely goes as one of the best fights I've ever seen in an anime. like the author had this like an idea: I want to show both parties are on another level strong and it kept going up and up, at some point you need to have pretty good creativity to come up with a way to show THAT is even stronger than what you've just saw a few minutes ago. Wow. |

| What an episode....like seriously!!! Sukuna vs mahoraga was the main feast for shibuya arc and damm boy, Mappa didn't disappoint. Tho I kinda feel like the animation was quite fluid, like really fluidly to the point some moment feel like I'm watching gibberish animation fest. The background soundtrack during the domain expansion was superb. Yuji having a mental breakdown while "you are my specialz" playing in the background was the best part of this episode. Also how are the jujutsu higher ups planning to make public statement after this incident on that large scale, pls don't tell me its another one of those gas explosion like the one that happened on fuyuki City on daily lol |
| devs gave 3$$ to artists and told them to draw/animate everyting lol so it felt kinda overwhelming, like they overdid their job cant believe that white entity almost as strong as defended he is. did that blonde brat-boy die of Sukuna or wha, i didn't get it, btw fuck typing replies in "Anime-List" after clicking plus, i've just lost a whole lotta essay just because of accidental click and i couldn't return it back👍👏👏 |
| After a very long time, we get to hear Yuji’s grandfather’s voice again. Megumi summons the shikigami that has never been tamed in history. Sukuna immediately felt the presence of it. Apparently, ancestors of Zenin clan and Gojo clan had Megumi’s technique and Gojo’s technique respectively. Those heads fought face to face and died. Meaning, Megumi’s technique can rival Gojo’s if developed properly. Damn, the strongest shikigami, Mahoraga is pretty senseless. It attacked Megumi as soon as it got summoned. Megumi knew he’d be attacked and even die, damn it. It may be the strongest but senseless. Sukuna shows up and saves the idiot, because if the idiot dies, Megumi also dies, that’s how that ritual works. Sukuna defeats Mahoraga to save Megumi. While Sukuna fought Jogo, it seemed to be within the barrier for humans. But now, against Mahoraga, the fight seems to have gone beyond the barrier. Sukuna defeats Mahoraga by using the domain expansion. Sukuna drops Megumi near the doctor. After which, he goes back to the scene of destruction, and lets Yuji to take control so that he can see him despair. Nanami is badly injured, but still moves ahead. |

| The fight was an over the top spectacle and truly a sight to behold, but honestly I didn't give a fuck about Mahoraga so I didn't care about the fight. Presumably the purpose of this fight was to demonstrate Sukuna's power level, but didn't his fight against Gojo already imply that enough? It didn't feel necessary to show us directly the every next episode, especially against a random foe with which the audience has no former investment. The secondary purpose is, again I presume, for Itadori to witness the devastation that occurred as a result of his own body, but we didn't need a whole episode for that either. Clearly I'm alone in that feeling considering how well-regarded this episode is, but I prefer when my epic shounen battles occur between characters I know and care about. Intense episode nonetheless. |
