Yes and no. Yes in the sense that I find it hard to "jump start" an anime because I have issues with motivation. No, in the sense that once I get to the watching, I just keep going lol.

I think it’s more enjoyable than before. Maybe the pacing is better now because there isn’t really filler anymore or dragging out the episode.

not really, but recently anime often so tame compared to manga format so i just skip it. especially something that have battle or from novel.
@Luc36 tame in which terms animation or content?

Nah there's usually still a select few good ones every season. I've been watching 20+ a season since 2016 and only one season has ever made me consider stopping and that was winter of this year. Some good sequels but there were a ton of new anime and they were all trash.

I'm getting a little tired of it...I think. The images are beautiful, but I think I'm encountering more and more things I don't like about the stories.

Nope infact I enjoy it even more than when i began this journey when i was a kid.
In fact, im feeling generous today... i shall provide you the solution to forever enjoy anime

SOLUTION (keep it a secret) - don't watch it in copious amounts ya fool, take your time, dont waste your day in it. And soon you will see how you can enjoy anime, when you consume appropriately.

Yeah, I tend to find maybe 1 or 2 (if im lucky) a season. I pick out maybe 5 that seem good to try but end up getting bored 3-6 episodes in and tend to just go re-watch the old ones lol.

honestly, as someone who really got into anime last fall, I really enjoy both old and new anime. I find it easier to watch anime now, I just need to find time to catch up on some shows. I've never really been a victim of recency bias, all the different animes I love and rate highly are my personal opinion on it.

I found it harder to enjoy anime ever since I started reading manga.
I write about manga → morningroo.com
and movies → letterboxd.com/ugla

Nope. Now instead of just japanese anime to choose from, we have chinese, korean, and even some impressive western cartoons like Arcane.
