This is a strange one, It's very rough around the edges but it has a certain charm to it.

Also so far I'm pretty confused as to why the person that wrote that one review was convinced that this was made to appeal to western audiences. But then again if I try to figure out the logic of some reviewers on here my head will probably explode, so I'm going to try to force that out of my mind as I watch the rest.

@Kristiwazhere This OVA series is a part of a 90s multimedia project, of which all were made by the same creators.
In the early 90s it all began with NG Knight Lamune & 40 in 1990, then continued with KO Century Beast Warriors in 1991 and 92 respectively, then came the Saber Marionette OVA. Then VS Lamune & 40 Fire concluded the saga with three sets of heroes from each universe, NG Lamunes heroes, KO's Beasts, and SM J's Android girls. And right after this they relaunched Saber Marionette J which ran till the end of the 90s, with the last series being a pioneer digital anime.

@threecutegirls
Umm that's nice and all but I'm not sure how that relates to the whole western audiences thing.

@Kristiwazhere I mean, it wasn't. The NG/VS Knight series of which this is a part of was never localized in the West, outside of the last OVA Fresh, which makes zero sense outside of the context of the previous entries.
