Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina (light novel)
| So, I just finished watching this anime, and I started watching reviews and other topics related to this anime. Overall they've been pretty good, but this odd topic keeps coming up. Why does Elaina not show any feelings for Saya? Yeah, not a big deal topic like the slave girl or the time travel adventure, but this one is a bit odd. People seem upset that Elaina doesn't show signs of liking Saya. I'm more on Eleaina's side, as Saya comes off a bit creepy when she sees her. I don't think Elaina hates her, but she has no romantic feelings for her. So, do most people feel this way, or are people just mad that a ship hasn't taken off? |

When presented with an opportunity fans immediately decide to turn shows like wandering witch into a yuri when there is next to no yuri elements in the show. It’s not the point of wandering witch it’s a show about a young travelling witch not a romance. People shouldn’t complain. |
| Why should she show feelings towards her? She is beyond obnoxious, insufferable and easily the worst part of this show. |

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating. |
| The abusive manipulation at the start kind of put me off the show altogether, but that's a different story altogether. |

| Who is mad about this series? there're probably many people who are but the main topic of this discussion would probably be: some fans who are shipping a girl to a girl (probably a yuri-shipper), are mad about this not being a yuri. (Seriously?!) I myself am a shipper (most but not all are, probably) but I won't be low enough to... you know... Anyway, I quite enjoyed this as Elaina grows up to be something she's proud of. I'm glad this story didn't go that sexual after Saya's entry to the story as her very existence is very unsettling. |
| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
