Imagine if they decide to reboot Gintama anime, but which is self aware of the previous series, and which also parodies the world events in 2020s.
| I highly doubt of them doing it. More I would like new adventures of Gin-chan and the company whether in manga or in the anime. Hope that they soon will announce new anime series or the manga which feature Gin-chan and the company commemorating 20th Anniversary of the manga start of publishing. |

| That would be just milking the source material in worst possible way and it might end up being another boruto. They had a conclusive ending and milking more of the show would only lead to people losing interest in the franchise. |

| No need to reboot. I don't mind getting trolled by Gintama saying "this is the Final" but now they're back! 😆 Hoping they will extend loooooonger😭 May it be a spin-off(this), another season, or a movie. |

| That is impossible, not only because it is completely unecessary as the manga finished long ago and was fully adapted but also because anime studios nowadays do not have the capabilities that they used to have in terms of material produced and it is only getting worse as they can barely even do a 12 episode season anymore without taking long breaks and cancelling them, let alone doing hundreds of episodes that gintama had, the golden age of anime is long gone, just look at what happened with bleach which is one of the big 3, over a decade to get the final arc, and the studio cannot even finish the arc without splitting it into smaller parts and taking long breaks while originally bleach was getting hundreds of episodes, and that is from studio pierrot which is like the second biggest animation studio in japan after toei, the industry is in a worse state in comparison with how it used to be |
