Soul Eater Connection?

This may sound a little weird, but I was on the Wikipedia page for the original tale this is based on... (The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter) And it had a whole section of other works where you see Kaguya's story adapted in one way or another...

Some of them were obvious. Like Sailor Moon: pretty easy to see that connection. Naruto: the final villain is literally an evil version of Kaguya, same name and everything.

But Soul Eater was on the list. And while it's a series known for incorporating their version of mythological characters, (Medusa, Arachne, Frankenstein, etc.) I can't think of a single one who might have been meant to represent Kaguya. No one who claims to have come down from the moon or anything like that...

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this.

Thank you! That would make sense, as I still haven't read the manga. (I thought the wiki article was calling out the anime adaptation specifically, but I doublechecked and the date was wrong, so they must have been talking about the manga.)
