| Both parties signed the truce allowing the Central army forces to return home; The Demons wait alongside the humans until Princess Kardan is released. The music had no purpose being so sad and then encouraging lol. They achieved nothing in Pai city this entire time except loss of life and now territory. Princess Kardan is now collected by the Demon army as part of the truce, and Xiu visits the merchant lady again. Dilin and Sterling reconcile again and Sterling is guilty of the loss he acknowledges; Sterling wonders how the demons agreed on a truce only to find out that they used Kardan as a bargaining chip and that she's going back to the Demon empire. Sterling chases after her, both Sterling and Kardan are sad that they have to part yet again. This is yet another forbidden love in donghua, feels really regrettable. (also agreeing with @bushman66 on Kardan being absolutely useless as a character, she doesn't even have personal guards or any merit to her title as Ka'dun emperor's daughter) I don't get it, he threw the flowers on the ground but now in the next scene he picks them out of the bin? Continuity error spotted. |
