No where near as good as the previous season in my opinion. But nostalgia plays a role in that.

I update my rating as I watch the show, and it currently is a 7 for me. Nothing really stands out, but it is not bad.

The peak of this season gonna happen in 2nd half. But that should be still not be anywhere near 8.

How do you guys rate before finishing an anime? Personally I don't even rate animes that I drop, if you haven't watched sth completely you don't really deserve to rate it. I definitely think MAL should not allow rating before the season has ended. About the show, "currently" it's around 6 7 for me, animation aside (I don't think it's as bad as people make it to be, first season wasn't even that good animation wise in the first place) the comedy feels more childlike, but it's not necessarily because the anime got worse, I think that has to do with my taste changing over time and watching many other shows in the genre. It still has its moments tho, and I'm gonna watch till the end even if it got worse

It lacks bishounen boys so the rating will be lower for female demographics. I think the rating is good despite that.
