| Lmao. Imagine calling a dude "chad" for being used as a boy toy for half of the manga and we don't even know his name until later on. Heck, even Kazuya from Rent-a-gf is better than him. At least I can have fun laughing at him since he fully embraced how pathetic he is, looking at paisen here feels like a failed self-fulfillment of a masochist series the author originally intended in the first place. Man what's up with these romcom fans these days. They oughta go outside more often. |

| Naoya Mukai from Kanojo mo Kanojo is more chad. Rentarou Aijou from Kimi no Koto ga Daidaidaidaidaisuki na 100-nin no Kanojo is even MORE chad. Naoto Hachiouji is pretty good though, I love how his character develops from a 'wet noodle' to a 'slightly firm noodle'. Man goes from tomato-red flustered every time Hayase appears to slightly annoyed when she teases him, it's great. @Gardefusilier calling Kazuya better than any other MC is a sin, he doesn't develop even when it makes sense for him to do so (like when he busted his ass producing a movie for Chizuru and developed ZERO confidence from the experience, what? Reiji, what?????). |

I used Kazuya because he sets the lowest bar of romcom MCs could be, yet I still find him more amusing ironically rather than whatever Nagatoro MC trying to be. Every time I read Nagatoro it's just cringefest through & through. At least in rent-a-girlfriend I can laugh at it because of how pathetically amusing it was. Nagatoro meanwhile doesn't know what direction it wants to be, nor even trying something fresh other than becoming Takagi rip-off like Uzaki. |
