I don't understand what you mean by Canon but Dr Stone Ryuusi is going to come out as season 3.

Edit i made a mistake, not as season 3 (I think) but its going to be aired

This special episode is going to be fully canon and will act as a connective episode for S2 and S3, reason being everything in the anime so far was a prologue to the main dish.

Yes this is canon, the introduction of Ryusui isnt really an arc or rather its too short so its a complete seperate thing from the actual arc, which is the next arc and the best arc in the series.

It's been forever since I read Dr. Stone, is it the island arc next or America arc? If it's island, then yes it's unironically one of the if not the best arc. If it's America, well, not so much (I liked pretty much everything I remember after America tho + early and/or late Dr. Stone were really good too and up there for best arcs)
