| Volume 5, Chapter 4: The disaster continues and claims the life of the Empress. I don't know if that was the best way to actually delay the enemy. The mainly slowed them down by forcing them to reload their mines and other ammunition. I don't know if the combat power would have been better served in building a bigger kill zone at the portal. The fate gene is an interesting concept, and its cool to see it in action. I do like how it was introduced in the previous volume, and now we see what it does. |
