Japan - This is where the Lost ones came from.
Grizarika - a country governed by the Grizarika royal family. The hometown of Menou, where it was onced destroyed due to the power of a Lost one.
Garm - an ancient city with a ceremonial hall where people from different worlds can be returned to their original place. Archbishop Orwell, who sits in Garum's church, looks over it.
–STATUS–
Executioners - A general term for those who secretly deal with the "Lost Ones" who have been summoned from Japan. It is the dark side of the "First Status (Faust)". They wear priesthood clothing and carry a “scripture” used in invoking magic.
Lost Ones - People who got summoned from Japan. Due to the danger brought by their "Pure Concept" they are hunted down by the executioners as soon as they are discovered. Lost ones have appeared many times in the past and because of this, Japan's technology and culture had a huge influence on the world.
First Status (Faust) - Those who serve the Lord. The "Executioner" is the dark part of the first status (Faust), and Menou also belongs here.
Second Status (Noblesse) - Those who are incharge of the government (Knights, Nobles, Royalty).
Third Status (Common) - 90% of the population (Ordinary people).
–ABILITIES–
Scriptures - used for activating magic. A high level spellbook which is difficult to handle. Only the first status (Faust) can have a scripture.
Guiding/Guidance (AKA: Ether/Etheric) - A great force that fills the world. It also exists in the human soul and shows universal variability manipulating it with strong mental power. In addition to being a source of magic, it is also used for infrastructure such as trains and lights, and is the energy that supports civilization.
Pure Concept - it is the unique abilities of the lost ones. It is unclear how they manipulate this power, but they all have in common cheat-class abilities that set them apart from normal magic users. Hence, it is treated as a taboo as the risk of runaway effects is very high. In previous instances they have almost destroyed the world.
Human Error - As a result of the growth of the pure concept, erosion of the owner's spirit and runaway, it becomes a human error that may cause great damage. Among those disasters are the four legendary disasters: "Sword of Salt" "Pandemonium", "Mechanical Society (Material Room)" and "Starhusk". These caused particularly great damage in the world and also called as the "Four Major Human Errors".
Crest (?) - made according to the purpose and exerts a specific effect just by flowing the power.
Magecraft - a type of technology, for controlling and composing ether. Specialized tools, training, and talent are required to be able to use it. Lost ones don’t need these since their body and power itself is their own magical material. |
