Sword Art Online (light novel)
| Alicization arc is probably the best arc from SAO (Progressive not included) but the anime adaptation is horrible. Many of the light novel readers (me included) don't like the adaptation. It would have been better NOT to adapt Alicization that destroy it. |

| Idk I haven't seen many negative reviews...I finished it but wasn't very impressed. Sure it has quality in many spaces but still for me it didn't live up to the first 2 seasons and the ordinal scale movie. Got mad love for sao but something just doesn't feel right here. |

| I will just say: you will either love SAO or hate SAO...so many that dropped it on so went ahead and reviewed like every other season. But it doesn't have that bad reviews compared to other seasons...That's my opinion on SAO reviews in general. |
| In my opinion, it's definitely MUCH better than the 1st and 2nd season of SAO. The next seasons are also really good (compared to 1/2). This series also has a good amount of haters, so many people will just watch it with a closed mind and drop it/give it a low rating without actually trying to understand it. That being said, it's actual rating definitely isn't low, 7.50+ is already a good score. |

The anime cuts 80% of monologues, which is the characters' development, cuts a lot of important things but keeps non important things. Adds harem bait scenes that were not in the light novel. The anime removed important backstories or changed the backstory completely in such way that makes no sense, being impossible to happen. Cuts almost all moments. |

| Most of the hate for it to my knowledge comes from those who already hate Sao in general or those who read the novels first. As a piece of media in its own right, there's a strong case for it as by far and away the best Sao anime we've had👍👍. (Not of that is to say it doesn't have flaws if you compare it to other things but then again comparison is usually the least constructive form of critic) |

| Similar to how quality dropped from 1st and 2nd arc. First half of Alicization was phenomenal, but eventually Kirito-kun came back out of nowhere, became OP Jesus, things started happening for no reason, and we found out that Kirito was supposedly suffering from some sort of trauma or PTSD over trivial stuff, which was literally not even foreshadowed, but anyway Kirito-kun started ripping his heart out in a dream for no reason, which was w cherry on top of this rancid cake. As such, SAO reclaimed the throne of "King of Trash". |

| I think many people were very triggered by the attempted grape scene this anime had. Pretty normal for controversial stuff to get review bombed. |

| I personally believe Alicization first season is the worst of any of the SAO seasons. Although war for the underworld was great |
| Sao all seasons are hated but this arc even in the anime is amazing for me i know its not the same as the manga but i really liked it thats why sao makes my top 10 |
