Nobody can handle that kinda pain. It was just so heartbreaking when the yuris's parents got the letters from him. No possible anime can be more emotional than this.

I cried a bit but not too much. Other kyoani shows like Kanon, Clannad, and A Silent Voice much heart breaking than Violet Evergarden. In the end, it was a great film but not heart breaking, I guess?

I think violet evergarden is the only anime where i cried so many times .I cried in Ep 3,7(favs),8,9,10,11(others are also emotional )movie 1 and 2.violet evergarden has such a beautiful animation and OST.

I don't think I cried this much since Clannad AS, which is from KyoAni as well. Those guys really know what they're doing,huh. Glad I was alone when I watched it cause I was a mess lol

Nothing special. That’s how Violet Evergarden does as always. Even if you don’t cry, you will somehow feel enormous emotion, pain and sorrowful and heartwarming story. I love every single episode and movies of this series. After all this is one of my most favorite series.

Idk why but I didn't cry in this movie at all. It was really a emotional rollercoaster but doesn't made be sad enough to cry.

As of now I have cried only in I want to eat your Pancreas, I cried from start to finish and may be Assassination classroom and When Marine was There.
