Are there major differences between the anime and the ln or just minor differences ?

heard the light novel is better only read one volume really good but stopped beacuse I am used too much on anime manga and visual novels yes reading the ln is worth or you can just watch up to season 3 and read the ln

I watched the first season then I started reading the novel. I enjoyed the novel much better.
Anime to fast a paced for me, to much ugly cgi. Butchered charachter introductions etc. First season adapted well but from there...

Novel: lot more inner monologe, jokes, gore&torture.
In the novel I found almost all the charachter intresting the side charachters as well. Their background and motivitaion made them much more relevant.
I vote for the novel.

The Novels, firstly while there aren't any story element differences, it does get all event in Chronological order, unlike the anime, which miss-times events around Carne village is season 3 if I remember. Furthermore the Novels go into much greater detail,and the art by So-bin is some of the best I have ever seen. Personally I have done both, Novels and Anime upto Vol.13 and I highly recommend.

Guess I should be reading the light novels based on the few replies. Doesn’t seem like there is a chance of reaching a conclusion in the anime anyway lol.

if you like light novels then yes definitely read it. The anime is great but the light novel has more inner thoughts of the MC so you get more context in certain scenes. novel is also more descriptive so you get a few small details you wouldn't watching. But I'd say watch it too as it's a fun watch!
