I recently watched this anime on Netflix and it really amazed me. I can't understand why this show received such a low rating. I think that you could say that there's no real plot and its stories are very short and simple, but I personally appreciated all that talking about life experiences, and that's what this anime was supposed to do. What do you think?

I remember the animation being pretty and a sad scene with a radio from when I watched it. Other than that I'm the same as this other dude. I think it's fairly rated.

I think the rating is accurate. The third story was great but the first two were just meh.

Despite the animation being absolutely stunning I think the collection of stories was too much of a mixed bag; the first story was my favourite, with its focus on reminiscing of times gone by, whilst the second was fairly dull and featuring characters who I couldn’t care for, and the final story was just fine. A lot of people seem to praise that third one as the best but it genuinely feels like an attempt at producing a generic, more grounded Makoto Shinkai work. Personally it seems it has been rated fairly overall.

it's normal to have a mixed bag of stories because we are talking about different aspects of life , this is what I think btw

It’s more that the storytelling itself is a bit weak, especially for the second story and the third one relies too heavily on tired tropes that have been improved upon elsewhere. But with any anthology film/series there will always be the case of mixed reception.
