Can i read this without reading the first part, and are ratings accurate ?

Seems like an interesting story to get into, but the first part has a 7.3 on mal and i don't want to waste my time with the first part if it isn't good, so can i get some help please ? And thank you

The Rating looks botted as you can see from the score tab and you can see members that made their account today and gave it a 10.
The mods will probably catch on and do whats needed

This was part of a type of experiment to show our own community (Iranians, many of them coming in here because of our efforts) that these scores can be changed with relative ease.
Since MAL is fast becoming more widespread in Iran and more and more people were taking the scores seriously to the point of insulting each other over the top anime in the lists I did this in order to show them the reality of the issue.

Seems like a pretty stupid experiment, not gonna lie. You chose a manga with less than 2,000 reviews. Any manga that is legitimately popular and has over 100,000 reviews isn't going to be able to be manipulated like this. So.. what point are you making? You can manipulate anything with low readership/viewership on literally any website with a review system.

The reality is that there is no issue... Try moving the rank of Berserk, Slam Dunk, or Oyasumi PunPun.

I mean it is a clear flaw, considering recent rating trash. Mods aren't doing anything. If you can influence score that easy an anituber with a bigger fanbase can easily make anything top 1. Which is already happened, and we see how fans of some animes spam rate others to make their anime higher without even watching other shows. Idk why MAL still can't find a way to deal with these bots.
