| S1=S3P2 S4P1 S2 S3P1 Can't stress this enough, but S1 is always unjustifiably criticized for either having "too much action" or using tropes, although objectively speaking, the only negative trope was cute fanservice they used on Christa. It's the Season I've most rewatched and it is still an epic masterpiece, no matter what the general opinion claim to be. Meanwhile, S3P1 is by far the worst written. The same people that like to criticize the writing in other Seasons are the ones who give a free pass to terrible scenes like on episode 41: Hange, while being considered a criminal, somehow conviced an entire village of collaborating with the Survey Corps, and her plan involved the military police cornering Flegel Reeves and letting the police reveal everything and praying they didn't immediately killed him. Those types of idiotic logic are considerably present in this arc. Like come on, we experienced S4P1, we can't in good faith say that was a good written Season. With that big quality discrepancy, I'm 100% sure anyone who claims S3P1 is better is using the pseudo-critic logic "too much action bad" "not action good", which honestly says a lot about the state of the anime community more than what SNK Season is the best. |
