Hi guys, kinda new here dont know how to start a discussion on a more general forum, but I was looking for an anime as emotional as darling in the franxx. The plot is meh and the ending too but emotional wise and the romance so to say seem pretty great to me and i wanna see more animes like that. Sci fi, romance action type of animes. Thanks!

Franxx is very similar to Eureka Seven when it comes to romance so I think that's the anime you're looking for.

Mirai Nikki and guilty crown are of the same vein as franx.

Gundam seed is probably the weakest if the gundam but if u want to watch a romantic mecha then its sort of a progenitor of sorts.

You should watch Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV). A great classic. It has inspire Darling in the franxx and many other anime.

I loved darling in the franxx sm lol it’s one of my favs.

Hmm I don't know much that are similar to Darling in the FranXX but one anime made me feel the same in the ending and that is Plastic Memories, it's a love story in future where they retrieve humans and resets their memory and personality. I hope I helped you in some way :D
