| @MiamoreCash I get where you're coming from but I think if your dementia is advanced enough that you've lost the ability to speak and are only making vocalisations, you would be behaving very differently. I don't think he'd be able to eat, drink, or move without help. He clearly has thirst and hunger cues and knows what to do to fulfil them. Nothing about him strikes me as particularly odd beyond his lack of coherent speech and of social skills with regard to snatching the boy's water from him but it could've been out of desperation. We don't know how long he was without water. We haven't seen him do anything else weird to them. He hasn't been aggressive beyond the water incident and we haven't seen him do anything bizarre like eat dirt. So yeah he doesn't seem all that odd to me. I was anticipating aggression when the boy started copying him - waving his arms around and making vocalisations - but he just did the same thing back as if he was trying to communicate. Needless to say, I do feel bad for him. I don't think he'd last long out there eating raw meat. The boy does have a point though, anyone could be potentially dangerous. |
