| @Tropisch ty for the reply. Didn't know that. just watched the trailer it looks like a gacha game. Not sure if you can control the race but what I got from it you build up point from horse girl. Yeah don't think it's going to get localize as uma umamusume is a niche anime. Not familiar with mobile game developer but if it was on an handheld I could see Compile Heart or Marvelous taking it up. Nice forum pic btw. |

Cygames mentioned they plan to localize the game in other languages, including English a whole ago. And yeah, you don't control the race, but the more you focus on a character, the more likely they'll win a race. |

| I'm enjoying Priconne, lots of story and different ways to play PvE, PvP and clan stuff. It sounds like this will get a similar global launch at some point and I'm guessing it will be similar, but instead of battles there are races. But I was thinking how could there be as much depth to it, like what about the ranking system, there would be no weapons to grind for! So a question for those who've played both, how much of a 1-2-1 comparison is there in the character building? And in general? |

So I just went in and did whatever, I don't even bother with the PvP and only do 1 fight a day and just do dailies and events (usually finish in under 30 mins) then I go play other games. Since if you want to do PvP, you need to do Rerolls to get the top tier PvP characters, otherwise it's extremely hard to obtain said characters without hard Gachaing. (140-ish shards, 5 shard per exchange, 2-3 week for 1 exchange, over 56-84 weeks or 14-21 months, over an year to obtain) (other games with shard system only takes 40-60 shards, Princess Connect takes 3 times longer) |

Too bad it's JP only and I have no idea about EN release. But fear not, no girl will be wasted, eventually you wanna train all of them. It's more of the "there's no bad horse girl, only bad trainer" game. Normally you might reroll for support card or their "training weapon" since all character more or less have their own role to fill. And as I said, the chara is more of waifu thing than competitiveness, so gacha-ing them isn't necessary. But yeah, still gacha. As a f2p player, I would say it's pretty friendly since the pvp, at least for me personally, is not rewarding (or not that rewarding). Also, like real horse racing, even your perfectly trained horse still can lose to inferior horse for whatever reason, e.g. blocked by slower horse infront, sudden mood down, etc. Reroll isn't an issue here. You can reroll in under 2 mins for 60 pulls. They also give you a free selection 3* horse ticket (3* is the highest rarity you can gacha) right at the start anyway, so you can focus on support card reroll or be greedy like me who still reroll for the horse girl. | Sounds a fair bit less involved than Priconne especially in battles v races. In Priconne there's the Union Burst system which you can trigger or leave on Auto in PvE (Auto only in PvP) and timing it right especially against bosses can make a difference. |
| Been playing the game since it came out. It weirdly is enjoyable just to keep training the horse girls and try to get a higher rank for them (I'm able to get a few of them to B at this point). I also think the story parts are really well done and the winning lives are high quality (you can alter which horse girl sings which part, as well as move their physical positions on stage or select their outfits). However, it's definitely the kind of game that would be hard to recommend if you didn't know any Japanese. With games like D4DJ or Bang Dream you can always play the rhythm game aspect and pull cards without really needing to understand much of the mechanics, but I think this game would probably be pretty boring if you just kept clicking the training menu without knowing what you were doing? The game is doing insanely well in the app store though for Japan. |

The game started with like 20...? or so playable horse girls, and like 2 are added each month. For example, Biwa Hayahide was added after the launch. So was TM Opera O. They still have tons of horses to add in. |
