| You ever find yourself pausing an episode multiple times and needing to take a deep sigh and a break before continuing watching? Yeah, this is one of those shows. Pretty tough to watch so far for me. Hopefully it gets better. |
| trying to clear out my list so I decided to give this a shot despite how much I heard how bad the main character is. So far in this first episode, it was actually alright, Kazuya is in shambles since Mami dumped him and freaking out about it. I get how rough it can be to get dumped, but Kazuya was sort of exaggerating a bit there in the beginning. She meets Chizuru and they go to an aquarium (Kazuya likes fish and aquariums), and holds hands with her. Then he sees some reviews of Chizuru online where people said she was only pretending to be professional and polite, and then there is the concern of his college savings being used on the rental app. When he tries to confront Chizuru (in public, a very bad idea), she brings him to a quiet area to chew him out and figure out what has gotten into him. After that Kazuya finds out his grandma collapsed and they rush to the hospital, but she is okay, she only fainted. Kazuya's grandma asks who Chizuru is and Kazuya responds saying its his girlfriend, with Kazuya's family not only being stunned with how gorgeous she is but Kazuya's grandma wanted to celebrate with a party because Kazuya finally found a lover. Kazuya's grandma gets emotional too. Chizuru realizes that her grandma is also at the hospital and they both try to get out, but end up in a vacant room. They end up hiding under the sheets and well, it became a crisis for the both of them while Kazuya is stunned with how soft her body is. Chizuru kicks him off, then they get found, and Chizuru's grandma is ultimately happy about Chizuru being with Kazuya. Chizuru and Kazuya share some parallels about wanting to make their families happy, with Kazuya explaining his hardship when he got dumped while Chizuru said she can't quit the rental job, I liked that bit where they were talking while sitting on the bench. Overall, great animation and voices, Chizuru pretty fire so far, but I am watching cautiously because of what I heard about Kazuya's character not being so great down the line... |

| Was thinking that Kazuya wasn't heeding his father's advice there with the rental girlfriend business he immediately bought into, but he's supposedly "done with pretend dating" now. However, seeing the title of the series, I don't think that'll be the case for long. Decent start, honestly. The humour is well-timed and there's a realistic intuition to both Kazuya and Chizuru that makes them feel like believable characters in their scenario, whether they're being petty or gracious. |

| This anime is really depressing, I mean the MC is so pathetic and his situation with his family is so realistic....it's hard to watch, I don't like the main woman anymore, I don't like such fake characters. 2/5 |
