My vote is for Shinako.
Hate me all you want but I can really see her trying her best to move on from the trauma of loosing someone dear to her.
Viewers might hatre her but I think the portrayal of her character is very relatable and realistic and that's what made me like her.

Shinako is still the best b***h here... Although I love her sincerely, I still hope that Rikuo going out with Haru... So I'm happy that it is happened... Please be happy all gurls in YoU... Rikuo, Rou, Kuma etc too... \(^o^)/

I am actually a big supporter of Shinako and Rikuo. The manga ending was horrid for him because it portrays his feelings for her still but he is pretty much agreeing to a break up because he knows the relationship is fake.

Haru is a good girl but I am sucker for the hard to get ones. Ending still bothers me but all good, you win some and you lose some.

I was looking forward to see Shinako growing and moving forward and Rikou by her side but well....I thought that at least she was trying to move forward and grow even if it was really damn slow...

I feel that Rikou still likes Shinako but she is not able to give him the love he needs so he goes to Haru...

I don't consider any of them the best girl...but I do think Shinako matches more the main guy than Haru...

Haru is cute but she's too immature even the way she loves Rikou is immature, he barely talked to her and she knows nothing about him and decides that likes him? it's soo teenage kinda of love. Anyway I do like Haru but I would prefer her with someone else more suitable for her, because in the end she does deserve happiness...also the main guy was really bad for her and she still likes him? wtf u.u I don't like that she's fine being the second choice because that's what she is the second choice I wish Haru would learn to love herself more...

Shinako was boring and annoying yes her development was slow but at least she was almost there...she was almost getting over her problems she was almost there and annoys me that it ended with her almost there and not there...I'm fine with her not being with Rikou but I think and feel everything was pointless...why tf they focus on her so much and her growth if they don't end up together? I just think this story wasn't well written.

I don't believe that people actually think that Shinako was the best girl. What? Are you lot serious? This woman toyed around with Uozumi with her half-a**ed feelings for a dead guy. Even after rejecting Uozumi she kept on lingering to him and further prolonging his delusion of love. This woman was a pain to watch till the end.

The only good think about Shinako was that she was voiced by the seiyuu megami Hanazawa Kana, full stop.

Those lot who voted for her have been tricked into thinking her as the best girl. Yes, guys. You only like her because she got the most of the screen time. You got her back story pretty detailed. So, you could relate to her. Whereas for Haru, the anime did a full-a**ed job with almost zero backstory. That's why you don't think her as the best girl.

I will admit that I was rooting for Shinako from the beginning but when it became clear to me that she was selfish woman, never thinking of Uozumi, always keeping him as an after thought, always prioritizing the Rou-kid's family (I like his VA Hanae Natsuki, so I can't hate him as much I would have liked to).

On the other hand, look at Haru. She was never short of devotion and dedication. She didn't waver when her ex-classmate who had a crush on her and confessed to her. She didn't try out her chances with him. She didn't ever think of keeping a backup policy. She was a pure girl who truly cared for Uozumi.

Can you shitheads cross your fingers and say that Shinako ever cared for Uozumi? Did she ever think of his happiness? NO. She never thought of Uozumi's happiness. She never for a moment loved Uozumi. She agreed to go out with her as a self-deception strategy.

Out of the 4 main characters -- everyone except Shinako was devoted to their love interest, gave their all, were sincere.

Yes, I know Shinako has a past that she can't let go. So, I feel for her as a human. This is the only reason that I can't curse her, call her names. She was the worst girl.

Ok. I will admit that she was goodlooking, pretty and beatiful than Haru. She had a more feminine aura. Yes, she might have been the best girl if she chose to become sincere to Uozumi. Alas, she was the furthest from the ideal.

When I watched the anime I put myself in Uozumi's shoes all the time. And I made a decision after all had happenned that Haru was the best girl for me/Uozumi. I would live a happy and fullfilling life if I had a partner like her. Truly, she was the best girl for Uozumi.

Haru is best girl. Shinako isn't a villain but she's seriously fucked up in the head. She can't even kiss a guy after dating for months. She's forever hung up on a ghost.

@mal_user_2022 you should read the manga you will know why it's a bad adaptation so the point wasn't properly conveyed. Though warning it's bad scan and it's still not licenced.
