| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- We finally get to see Atsushi's face and it gives us a glimpse of what Iwai would have been forced to dress up as had he stayed. Atsushi's not as cold as he first appeared and he does care for Sumiko in his own way. One good thing that came out of this case was that he and Sumiko came to understand each other a little better. Kanoko standing up for Iwai is about the nicest thing she's said about him. 100% not a lie and something I doubt he'll ever forget. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the author's notes she states that Tae's (the culprit behind the elopement plan) hairstyle is "radio rolls". Around the time period of Usotoki Rhetoric, the radio had just been introduced coupled with the headphones used to listen to the radio. That particular hairstyle might have been inspired by those headphones. |

| Poor woman, perhaps that was the only time in her all life that any woman got jealous of her, but even then she thought that she didn't have anything to be got jealous over at all. It hurts to see such a clever, mature and thoughtful woman not getting any attention from her surroundings just because she looks a little bit plain. Sumiko-san was totally sympathetic on her own way. I wonder if she would have drunk the drink even though she knew it was poisoned... It looked like she would. |
