Well it sure was different from what we had before. Who could have thought that Kunimitsu would be a true villain. He really tried to kill them.

That was a glorious last episode. Beautiful art (that part when she had angel wings ! ♥), awesome music and such a good plot.

I loved this show so much. It was so cute and poetic, and it had just the right amount of episodes. Studio Pierrot's magical girl anime always leaves you kind of sad at the end of their shows, but it's a good kind of sad.

It was a pleasure to follow Yumi's adventures.

So they're just going to forgive and forget Kunimitsu's attempted murder? This show took such a strange and abrupt turn at the end.

I would love to know the behind the scenes story because by all appearances it looks like it got prematurely cancelled halfway through and they had to scramble to write some conclusion to it. The flying cats didn't even get a proper goodbye, just a voice over! Yumi really got screwed because wasn't her powers supposed to last for a year, iirc? If she got them around spring, I'm assuming since it was a flower festival, and then now it is summer she barely had 4-5 months of fun with them. You'd think for saving the Flower Land she'd get a bonus, but this was almost a punishment.

Looks like this was also Pierro's last magic girl anime for 12 years, so clearly something happened that made them stop, and presumably cut this one short. It's too bad, because most of the show was pretty good, especially in visuals and production quality.
