| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- What a sweet story, I love the relationship dynamics. The way the title both introduced and concluded the story was nice. The last page, where they said they'd raise their glasses to all the people they've met, actually made me tear up. Ultimately, it's a story about meeting people and how they change you. Obviously that's pretty much the case with any story or just life in general, but it tied well with each characters' background as well as their personalities. Sakuto is so cute, I love innocent happy characters like him ^^ The relationship between Sakuto and Shirou is so wholesome, can't stress how much I love that kind of dynamic. And of course, the friendship the main three have with each other. It's not everyday you can see that kind of lasting friendship. I'm happy for all of them that they're all smiling in the end. Well, Yuutarou broke up with his girlfriend, but there's always a future ahead. There's just something very down to earth about ymz's stories. Happy Birthday isn't as deep as Sayonara, Heron, but it's just as wonderful of a story to read. |
