Have you ever tried watching an anime without knowing what it's about?

I prefer to do this, when I know what an anime is about when I watch, idk why, I tend to not enjoy it as much.

I do this every once in awhile, usually because I see the name a bunch of times or find a picture from the series that interests me.

the cover alone is enough for me to see what it's all about... so I'm not really getting a surprise vibe by being not knowledgeable about it.

But Honestly no, I don't want to watch blindly, yet always I do it in manga.

Yes, I did this with the various greatest anime of our generation. For eg - Death Note, One Punch Man, Tokyo Ghoul, Mushishi. Now that I have watched all the popular anime, I usually try to find a not-so-popular anime that is below 7 or 8 score but still it amazes me. Now, for that I have to read the synopsis. :3

Nah, I always read the synopsis. There are shows which will throw you into the story without explaining things that you have in the synopsis.

Not really... I glance over it on the seasonal anime page... but by the time I actually watch it, I have no idea what it was supposed to be about.

I find it better to go in with zero expectations... hoping for a pleasant surprise.

Now that I think about it I actually do it fairly often like recently I finished sukasuka without any previous knowledge about the anime.

Not always. I didn't know NGE or Code Geass had mechas until I saw the opening. Prior to watching Devilman Crybaby I knew Devilman was some very old classic but didn't know anything about it, also the title hint that it has something to do with a devilman and probably demons as well.
