| Mushishi Natsume's book of friends Ookami to Koushinryou (novel, has a manga too) Hotarubi no Mori e (pretty short) Totsukuni no Shoujo (havent read this yet, but I think it will have the vibe you're looking for) now that I think about it mushishi, natsume and hotarubi no mori e have some stories that might make you cry =P but its the good kind of crying.. I read all of them usually at nights bc the mood fits |

| Seconding Yotsubato. Super chill and also hilarious. Flat is cute and chill, about a lazy high schooler who gains the admiration of this cute little kid. Saint Young Men is chill and hilarious, about Buddha and Christ just hanging out in modern times. Cromartie High is ridiculous and good to relax and have a laugh. I wouldn't really call it cute tho. Chichi Kogusa has a similar vibe to Flat, and it's pretty cute, about a father and son. |
