| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Very weird episode even by this show's standards A small, green, xenomorph-headed missile launching kaiju attacked Penguin Village! Well, at least a mouse's house anyway! Lucky Arale was there to "play." The Ultraman knockoff dude's antics bored me, but maybe young children in 1981 Japan loved it for all I know. Senbei's pervy and cowardly antics with Yamabuki-sensei were the most humorous scenes for me. I also noticed lotsa recycled reaction shots and at one point Senbei's hat was briefly misspelled "SRUMP." Overall a meh, forgettable outing. |

| MAL lists the duration length as 24m per ep, where I've only found this episodes length to be 14m 23s. Have I not been able to find it, or is this actually the length of the episode? While a tad off topic since this is the episode 1 discussion, I've only found episode 2 to be 11m 57s. Is anyone able to confirm or deny what's the length of the episode(s), and if either are of the wrong length, can anyone provide the place where I can watch it in full? Well more like tell me of it's existence, obviously links are not allowed. Edit: Is the duration length maybe combining the 2 episodes length as one? I could see it being reduced to 24m if you take out repeated things if you watch them as one episode versus it separately. Edit 2: Wow that was difficult to find, now I just have to find Ep 2. Future people, it is 24m long. Oh also I agree, meh episode. |
