Do us all a favor and don't do this one cour nonsense. S2 was good but inferior to S1 I'd say partly due to the constraint of one cour. It didn't have the good pacing feel to it that S1 had and as a result felt very point to point to point. Fingers crossed.

If it's one cour then it will probably end with Soma besting the 9th seat and Azami trying to wipe Polar Star out. Didn't they cover some of the new materials in the ovas already? Still waiting to see if there will be a History Strongest Disciple season 2 even though the Manga ended abruptly a few years ago.

YES! This is one of the few anime I have been able to successfully get the wife addicted to. So the hype is indeed intensifying here as well. I do hope it is longer than S2 but I am just grateful for whatever we get at this point so long as the quality doesn't drop off.

Right there with you. Although I'm glad they tried to placate us with the OVAs highlighting some of the YOMI arcs. But they ended them leading into DofD Tournament Arc which is where the series gets really good IMO.

Right there with you. Although I'm glad they tried to placate us with the OVAs highlighting some of the YOMI arcs. But they ended them leading into DofD Tournament Arc which is where the series gets really good IMO.

They could go Inuyasha route and cut out all the filler Manga arcs and focus entirely on Yami, but that's still a lot of materials to adapt. If I remember correctly, Kenichi Anime covered around a quarter of the Manga only. I guess Naruto, DB, One Piece, and Fairytail are still the top priority.

That would sucks if there's no season 4 because the ending would be a cliffhanger where the Central battle is still ongoing unless they change the ending like season 1. I have a feeling the studio always want a happy ending in case the next season isn't pick up.
I'm not that fond of the Mangas as I used to be. It was fresh at first because of foodgasm/ ecchi-ness. Now, It became too formulated and predictable. It also lacks surprises and tensions despite its more serious tone in the recent arcs. However, I'm still intrigued by the recent arc.

i agree. the newer chapters have been quite good though and i'm pretty excited for the match with tsukasa and kuga.
