| Of the majority of manga readers who are fans of ONE's work, they claim that Mob Psycho's story is far more enjoyable than One Punch Man's. For first time anime viewers here who've seen OPM, how do you feel the story compares to the early episodes of OPM so far? Not going to ask to compare it to the entire anime, since only 1 ep is out so far. |
| OPM early episodes are better. Mob's pacing is horrible. It used 4 chapters for 2 episodes so it will have a really slow start. They even used scenes from Omake and the battle intro is from a way later arc just to fill the episode. Next 9 episodes they will cram 45 chapters so the pace will get better after episode 2. |
| I was really disappointed with the anime's pacing. They wasted a third of the first episode on some random action scene that wasn't in the manga. I feel like it's just BONES trying to show off but it doesn't do anything to the plot and in fact it misleads the audience about the show they're about to watch. I heard plenty of people think MP100's plot is just Ghostbusting and action, which couldn't be further from the truth . . . The first and second episodes should've been merged together. I don't think anyone who have actually read both can say OPM's plot and characters come even remotely close to MP100's . . . OPM is popular because of how unique it was, but its story (with the exception of the Garou/MA arc) and characters (with the exception of Garou) are bland as hell. |
