Nice wording OP.

My body literally starts hurting if I stay inside too long, my body gets all sore and I feel dead inside.

A year and a half if you don't count the occasional trip to my doctors. Six months flat if leaving to go to the doctors counts.

I get some pretty hardcore anxiety sometimes and it isn't fun :(

I'm somewhat surprised to hear this was possible. I can imagine people going a couple of months inside from school breaks by spending all the time playing computer and watching TV (which is what I did most times), but how did you go such a long time without needing to go outside for school/university or work?

The degree that my anxiety gets to (and also the fact that I've got a history of suicide attempts) led to my doctor classifying me as "unfit for work", which means that I qualify for government money to help me live. It's not a lot of money and it's not a fun way to live, but it keeps me alive while I try to break myself out of the cycle. It leads to some problems too, though, namely the fact that if I'm playing a game online for example and someone catches wind of it, or I meet someone new through a mutual friend, I get immediately dubbed a scrounger, because I don't "look sick". Which obviously doesn't help the situation lmao
I'd love to be able to go to uni or work like every other sod, but it's just not feasible at the minute.

I think we're the same. The major problem is that the longer you stay inside, the harder it is to leave again right? The anxiety grows exponentially until you get feel intense dread just by turning the doorknob. Sometimes the problem is social anxiety, depression or plain agoraphobia but the best way to combat it is to slowly desensitize yourself to your fear of whatever makes you hide from whats out there. Start off small by taking short walks, then day after day do a little more. That's what worked for me atleast. Good luck.

That's exactly it. The longer it goes on, the harder it is to fight it. I'm working on sorting myself out at the minute, but my history of poor mental health is a long one, so even though I'm doing a lot better most days (I can actually go outside! And talk to people! It's a Christmas miracle!) I've got a long way to go before I can really say I've "recovered". As you say though, it's all about baby steps until you get there.

A whole weekend. I'm basically inside whenever I'm not at school. Since I have no IRL social life, the internet is basically my replacement for going outside.

Like a week or so, mostly on cold days...I hate cold.

Btw OP, I don't think that staying inside your house and leeching of your parents is something to brag about, I mean we'll done it from time to time but it seem that you're proud of it...

I'd probably go out a lot less than I'd like to admit if it wasn't for walking my dog.
Also grocery shopping.

Two, three days or so. When I've been sick. Otherwise, I take my routine walk outside once everyday.
