One is a yaoi bait melodrama carefully designed for maximum dramatic effect, and another invites viewers to observe the flow of nature.

Mo Dao Zu Shi is a decent show nonetheless, but the merits of this short are underappreciated. I suspect it's harder to enjoy for those that like faster paced music.

Probably the closest an anime has come to flawless from what I've seen.
It never reaches further than it needs to and knows how to convey its motif in an artistic and tasteful way unlike most of what you find in the medium.
What I assume is the reason for the low ratings, aside from unpopular shows generally having lower scores on MAL, is that it only leaves a slight impression. It never tries to blow your mind and it fades out as smoothly as it fades in. The motif doesn't graduate from being contemporary so I think the visual and directional presentation is befitting and at times even incredibly beautiful.
