| Obviously no. I don't know how I should put it into words, but I've go asking the same question before to the ustaz and ustazah. Also, depend on the genres, it's might be Haram but basically its fine as a whole. |

| I don't believe so, unless you are a wahabi and you believe photographs, comic books and all representations of humans are haram. In terms of hentai and anime with specific content - well that depends on what you are watching. I mean if you're some really really strict believer with no sense of humour you might think Death Note is haram for its portrayal of god(s) - plural. |
| Always depends on what is the show you're watching, doesn't matter if its an anime or a movie or even a book if it either had thoughts provoking or 18+ stuff, or insulting materials, there are some animes that try to have hidden messages to hate or make fun of religions in general which I dont like since the whole "world" should be believing in freedom of thinking right now, so contradictions like making fun of other people's beliefs ( be it islamic or christian or buddhist or even atheists ) is a really bad type of media to spread imo. Just let people think and choose and shut theit mouths no need to make fun of other beliefs it won't make their beliefs better. Also regarding thoughts provoking animes, I don't like kids ( 10 - 17 or depends on the kid's mind really ) going around watching stuff like God eater,death parade,death note ... etc and stuff that has God-related/Atheists characters or animes, because they are still not grown ups in the mind and they might have second thoughts about stuff like "Is there really a god?" or so if they liked a certain character, but I think its fine if you watch whatever you want if you really know whats right and whats wrong and whats your religion and your god and you are 100% sure and convinced its what's real. But being an overly strict muslim parent/older sibling can have a bad influence on the kid and make them want to watch this forbidden thing, telling them whats right and whats wrong first with proofs and perfect reasoning is better than just telling them "Anime in general is haram" or just watch kids cartoons and so Anyways nice topic to discuss, thanx. |
