| I know this is late, but to clarify, there 3 people with Misaki in there names. The twin sisters and the student that died and started the calamity. The student that died is actually a boy and he is most likely the person you are referring to at the beginning of the story. The writer just wanted to confuse everyone and have them think that Mei was the dead student I guess. Mei's sister plays a role in the story because she was the first victim of the calamity for that year. Kouichi transferred to the class after Mei's sister had died. This fact concludes to Mei that Kouichi wasn't the extra person. |
