| So Shinoa fell in love with Yuu. Shiona looks really cute when she in love, but unfortunately she has little chance, because all Yuu thinks about Mika and even his first question after waking up from a coma is "whats with Mika"? I still cant get used to fact that vampires have such advanced technology. Im still used to stereotype that vampires live in old castles and dont know how to use electronics. But i's cool. And i like that aesthetics of vampire buildings and interiors - i really love gothic. While looking at these postapocalyptic ruins once again i thought about one thing - postap from japanese point of view is different from western postap. I dont know how to explain it, there are destroyed houses and cars in both but japanese postap is somehow lighter and brighter or something. But western postap show more darkness and loneliness i think. That scene with Ferid. Is someone spying for vampires? Ill assume its guy with glasses - maybe for sake of medicine for his sister. /// ABOUT 1ST SEASON IN GENERAL - cult vampire gay drama good anime, but a little too pop for my taste. But its interesting to watch, good visuals (most of the time), cool stylistic, high quality soundtrack (legend Hiroyuki Sawano after all). 8/10 |
| Yeah, I watched this anime in English dub and I didn't regret it at all. I liked all of the English dub voices but the core reason I'm watching a lot of animes in dub mainly because I'm tired watching subtitles while watching the animation or scenes play out so yeah. I'm happy to see Yu back from recovering and yeah it was adorable seeing how worried Yu is towards Shinoa and the others. Loved the moments shown throughout this episode. Wonder how Yu and Mika next encounter will play out? Overall, this is obviously a good anime, but the pacing can be quite all over the place so that's my only criticism I have for this show and perhaps the writing can be a bit eh, but I can get past that. The animation was all right being nothing unique or bad just average. Yu as the mc is a decent protagonist and sure he can be quite annoying at certain times but other than that he's all right. Shinoa is literally the best character to come out from this show being the fmc, so that's a huge + point. Oh, and the OP is a bop with an all right ed. tldr, objectively it's 7.5/10 show for this season but I'm leaning towards 7 here because mainly due to how strange the pacing is but other than that I liked it! |
