Could you possibly be in your mid to late teens?

Wasn't asking you but ok lol. It just seems that like 15-19 is the age of most who are obsessed with feeling all grown up and mature, and proving it through the most ridiculous channels, like rejecting Tokyo Ghoul or Higurashi.
I'm 24.
And for me i dont see the appeal of TG and when they cry because i dont find obsesive amounts of violence appealing, it just feels like shock value, i rather watch something that requires more thinking like something from Satoshi Kon. Violence does not equal mature by its own, expect for the age rating.

I'm surprised that you still care so much about feeling grown up then. Who cares if violence = mature? Most people watch TG because they enjoy it, and not much more.

Corpse Party: Tortured Souls.
Not because of the gore, but because it was the worst video game adaptation I've ever seen in my entire life.

Bio Hunter lol. I want to thank the reviewer who compared it to Carpenter's The Thing (my favorite movie). *bangs head on keyboard*

For me it wasn't cringey. It was too mediocre for me to cringe at :V

Tokyo Ghoul is high on this list because of how utterly mediocre the whole anime is, and how pathetic Kaneki is.

Also, sexually explicit content on mecha anime in general (outside EVANGELION) are extremely cringeworthy. Seriously, what's the point of having them? That kind of content should've been exclusive to hentai anime only.
"All life begins with Nu and ends with Nu."

However, in Gundam, all life begins with Nu and ends with Hi-Nu. While in KanColle, all life begins with Nu and ends with Kinu.

You can probably answer your own question by asking yourself what is the point of having it in Evangelion. What a contradictory post.

OK I don't see how that can happen to any normal viewer let along be cringeworthy. You probably wouldn't be able to handle the nail scene in Higurashi.
All credit goes to Sacred.

Hen Zemi was an ackward anime for me to watch, I could not get into it for the life of me and it was pretty uncomfortable to watch lol

Corpse Party was cringe worthy in the sense that getting stabbed in the eye with scissors was something I've never seen in an anime before.
