| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- We get to learn a bit more about the Black Rose "bodyguard unit", but I'm still pretty confused. Clearly, they are not closely based on the Leibstandarte as I expected, they're more like a bunch of high school boys or an "idol group" as the translation has one of the officers saying. Plus, homosexuality can get you killed, like the mass of men who for some reason are buried right on the Führer's special island (the Nazis surely would dump them in the sea or incinerate 'em), but it's implied everybody's still very gay, especially when their seniors tell them to be. In summary, the mangaka clearly has NO idea what a military unit should be like. This had an interesting premise, so I'll see how it goes for a few more chapters, but I'm disappointed. |
